A Tree Of My Own is a picture book based on Ruskin Bond’s beloved poem “A Cherry Tree”. The story follows a young boy and his quiet, growing friendship with a cherry tree, celebrating nature’s small miracles and the joy they bring into our lives. For this project, a soft, muted colour palette was used to reflect the poem’s tenderness and to emphasise the intimate bond between the boy and the tree. The illustrations aim to capture that sense of stillness, wonder, and slow, natural growth that lies at the heart of the story.
